The founder, Tim Lindberg, is committed to providing exceptional products and services. It was through his extensive background in the construction industry that he realized there was a need for a new type of decorative concrete. Time and again home owners became unsatisfied with the peeling and flaking of their coatings and overlays. Their stamped patterns came out looking too repetitive and unnatural. They were frustrated with the price and the sinking effects of real stones or pavers. Out of concern for these clients Mr. Lindberg decided to invest in a process that would make more sense for them. That process is engraving and acid staining. It is as durable as the original concrete, because the texturized pattern is engraved in. Therefore nothing is on top to flake off. The color reacts chemically as it soaks in and is similar to color changes that occur in nature to real stone. Other companies have tried to compete with Mr. Lindberg's specialized and unique approach, but they haven't been able to match the authentic look of his stonework. By traveling abroad from the California coast and colonial New England to the country sides of Italy, he has perfected his artisanship to reflect the very stones and home styles of his travels. Combining that with extensive training, research, and his own innovations to improve the engraving and staining process, Mr. Lindberg started Capstone Concrete.
